Different Methods of Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a common procedure practiced by almost all dentists. Tooth whitening is also referred to as tooth bleaching. One can easily notice that a child’s teeth are brighter than grown persons. It is so found in adults because of bacterial stains, food, beverages, smoking and tobacco. To remove discolour and stain caused by these stuffs, bleaching agent or laser light is used to whiten the teeth. There are many ways one can whiten teeth.

  • Toothpaste whitening: - Toothpaste is one of the most used whitening agents. The chemicals which it contains are mild resulting in strong and brighter teeth. Amway is one of the most famous brands in toothpaste. It is recommended to use twice a day.
  • Whitening gels: - Tooth whitening gels is another whitening formula used after toothpaste to give teeth a shine in less than a month.
  • Strips: - Strips are gentle to teeth and widely used as it is cost effective. It is easily available and provides effortlessness while using.
  • Natural treatments: - People usually use combination of lemon and salt for whiter teeth, besides skins of fruits.
  • Laser technique: - With the advancement of laser methodology traditional methods are outdated. Laser technology is fast and perfect. Laser treatment is advised only to those people whose teeth are repulsive.
  • Whitening Drops: - It can be used directly. It contains chemicals which polishes the teeth. It can be used while attending a party.
  • Blue light teeth whitening method: - This method is expensive but lasts for years. It contains hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth swiftly.

Many people prefer laser technology method as it needs to be done once but should be repeated after every two or three years. Many people are very busy and cannot use other options like whitening gels or natural treatments every day. Hence laser treatment is best option for them though expensive.
